Fertur Perú Travel is the brainchild of Siduith Ferrer, who founded the company in 1994 with the vision of offering unparalleled customer service tailored to the needs and budgets of her travelers.
She graduated in 1990 from the Universidad San Martín de Porres in Peru with a degree in international tourism management and consulting.
At the time, USMP offered Peru’s first and only university program dedicated to tourism, and Siduith was a member of the second graduating class.
Drawing on decades of experience, Siduith has developed Fertur Peru Travel with a steadfast dedication to personalized service and unwavering quality standards. Her leadership reflects a deep commitment to ensuring every client’s experience is both authentic and meticulously managed.
Rick Vecchio, Fertur’s director of development and marketing, was educated at The New School for Social Research and the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism. He worked for Pacifica Radio WBAI and as a reporter for various newspapers in New Jersey, New York, and Massachusetts. Then, in 1996, he decided it was time to fulfill his lifelong dream of traveling to Peru. He never returned.
While serving as Peru manager for South American Explorers from 1997 to 1999, he fell in love with Siduith, and they married. For the next six years, he worked as a correspondent for The Associated Press.
Meanwhile, Siduith built the business, which he joined in January 2007.
Since 1994, we’ve had the joy of helping travelers from across the globe explore Peru and the Andean region.
