Paddington Bear’s Peru Tour includes COP20 appearance
Paddington Bear took a detour today from his tour of Peru to promote his homeland and new hit film to make a stop at the United Nations Climate Change Conference, COP20, in Lima.
Since his arrival back to Peru on November 17, the UK’s most loved character of children’s literature has made the rounds of the Peruvian capital, including stops at a children’s hospital, a book fair, several movie theaters, and the Lima Cricket Club.
“Paddington Bear will showcase our living culture, ancient history, biodiversity, gastronomy and celebrations,” said Peru’s Tourism Minister Magali Silva Velarde-lvarez, adding that his homecoming would serve “to promote our country as one of the most fascinating destinations in South America and the world.”
