Colca Canyon is one of the deepest canyons in the world.<\/p>\n
At 10,727 feet (or 3,270 meters) deep, it\u2019s more than twice as deep as the Grand Canyon, and is neck and neck with the nearby, but almost inaccessible Cotahausi Canyon for the title of world\u2019s deepest.<\/p>\n
Dotted along the ridges, and hidden in ravines you\u2019ll find villages where Andean traditions and culture still thrive.<\/p>\n
Each ridge provides a new breathtaking view of spectacular river valleys, lined with pre-Inca terraces carved into the mountainside.<\/p>\n
From their nests in the rock face, Andean condors soar overhead, with a wingspan of up to 10 feet across.<\/p>\n
The Canyon draws adventure sports enthusiasts with mountain biking, white river rafting and kayaking.<\/p>\n
