Paddington Bear took a detour today from his tour of Peru to promote his homeland and new hit film to make a stop at the United Nations Climate Change Conference, COP20, in Lima.<\/p>\n

Since his arrival back to Peru on November 17, the UK’s most loved character of children’s literature has made the rounds of the Peruvian capital, including stops at a children’s hospital, a book fair, several\u00a0 movie theaters, and the Lima Cricket Club<\/a>.<\/p>\n

“Paddington Bear will showcase our living culture, ancient history, biodiversity, gastronomy and celebrations,\u201d\u009d said Peru’s Tourism Minister Magali Silva Velarde-\u0081lvarez, adding that his homecoming would serve “to promote our country as one of the most fascinating destinations in South America and the world.”<\/p>\n
