{"id":9233,"date":"2014-07-05T11:58:52","date_gmt":"2014-07-05T16:58:52","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.fertur-travel.com\/blog\/?p=9233"},"modified":"2017-09-13T18:29:00","modified_gmt":"2017-09-13T23:29:00","slug":"machu-picchu-visitor-entry-in-two-shifts-set-to-begin-this-month","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.fertur-travel.com\/blog\/2014\/machu-picchu-visitor-entry-in-two-shifts-set-to-begin-this-month\/9233\/","title":{"rendered":"Machu Picchu visitor entry in two shifts set to begin this month"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>It appears a new ticketing system for visitors to Machu Picchu to enter the Inca citadel in two shifts, one in the morning and the other in the afternoon, could be coming sooner than <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fertur-travel.com\/blog\/2014\/machu-picchu-visitor-schedule-to-change-and-bathrooms-to-be-added\/8931\/\">previously announced<\/a> \u2014 this month, in fact.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-3698 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.fertur-travel.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/08\/Machu-Picchu.png\" alt=\"Visitors to Machu Picchu will want to read this important news about imminent changes to the ticketing system for entry into the ruins, set to being this month (July 2014)\" width=\"280\" height=\"213\" \/>Ricardo Ruiz Caro, chief of Cusco&#8217;s regional Culture Directorate, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.larepublica.pe\/02-07-2014\/doble-horario-de-ingreso-regira-desde-el-15-de-julio-en-machupicchu\" rel=\"nofollow\">told reporters that the new policy could take effect as soon as July 15<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The first shift would be from 6 a.m. until 1 p.m. and the second from 1 p.m. until 5:30 p.m.<\/p>\n<p>Alarmingly, Ruiz Caro indicated that the<a href=\"http:\/\/elcomercio.pe\/peru\/cusco\/machu-picchu-visitar-ciudadela-tarde-costara-menos-noticia-1740098\" rel=\"nofollow\"> early entry would be for foreign visitors, while &#8220;preference&#8221;
